This old sign from 1669 is hidden from the people in the street. It is located in between two buildings, but it is visible from the window in our apartment. The other day I took a photo of it, worked it around in Photoshop, and discovered that it’s a sign for a glassblower (it’s much too dark to read in the original form). At the bottom you can see that it says something like “DE JONGE GLASCRAMER”. To me, it seems like an auspicious sign that we moved into a spot where we can see this secret sign for a glassworker.
