Some recent press activity: Daily Art Muse recently wrote a posting about my work, causing the biggest demand in a single day for the video on this site. To see what they said, click here and then have a look at the site, it is a great source of interesting handcrafted work. Daily Art Muse.

I just finished writing a short article about my preparatory process for drawings, which appears in Glass Network magazine in December- this is the UK Contemporary Glass Society’s magazine, published quarterly.

Anne Gant and Pinaki Ghatak were married in a “small, sensible Dutch wedding” on Oct 1, 2010 in Amsterdam.

The Rakow Library in Corning, NY, which holds the Corning Museum of Glass collection for prints and paper works, has just acquired 3 of my drawings for their archive. Tina Oldknow, the Corning Museum of Glass Curator of modern glass, visited the Vrij Glas studio last week.

It has been a busy month, which is a surprise for the summer! -  even more new pieces have been sold, and there are whispers of some shows for the fall around the US and here in the Netherlands…so I’m going to be hard at work on some new pieces.

I hope you will have a chance to look at their work as well- so many good artists are hard at work making real, original unique objects- it’s good to appreciate them, even if it’s only via a webpage!

I

Maria Eugenia Diaz de Vivar, in Buenos Aires Argentina, has a created a serious and well-researched blog about glass.
She added me to the growing and vast list on Objetos con Vidrio. I am grateful to have a Spanish article about my work. Have a look… There are tons of links to museums, galleries and artists. I hope you find it an interesting resource.
