These are part of a new group of single prints that I am making for a show in Corning in May 2010.
The curator will install them as a cluster of drawings on the wall.
Please click on a single print for a larger view. They are all about 9 inches by 11 inches.

“Abundance”

These are brand new drawings from the studio. Vrij Glas was open again last week after its normal wintertime closure.
It is still early spring here, and it was so cold in the studio that I could see my breath the entire time I was working.
It’s a good time of year to blow glass- it feels great to get close to the furnace.

When I made these two pieces, I was definitely looking forward to seeing plants growing again, and the productive summertime.
“Abundance” shows an elegant fruit dish overflowing with objects.
“Rewards of Patience” shows some new growth emerging from a pile of discarded vases.

The show in Corning is extended through July 24th.  Here are a few photos from the installation of the work.

Gallery director and owner Ann Welles painted the walls an unusual green/brown color, which ended up complimenting the pieces well.  The opening was a huge party because it was during the Glass Art Society Conference- thanks to everyone who came by- it was fun to see you all!
